CTUL Celebrates 5th Anniversary and Prepares for 9/29 Day of Action and Reflection
Anniversary Organizing Committee
On August 25th, over 200 workers and their families joined us in a celebration of five years of struggle for fair wages and working conditions in the Twin Cities. Members celebrated our many victories to date, including: recovering over $500,000 in unpaid wages and damages, winning improvements in wages and working conditions in retail cleaning in the Twin Cities, etc. We also talked about next steps in the Campaign for Justice in Retail Cleaning with the September 29th Day of Action and Reflection.
We were joined by many of our old friends, including
el Payaso Barrilitos
As well as our new friends
We are looking forward to many more years of struggle and successes for workers’ rights in the Twin Cities. As our members say: “Trabajadores de las Twin Cities, juntos nosotros decidimos nuestro futuro / Workers of the Twin Cities, together we decide our future”
