Pancake Brunch 2018 roles

Saturday, March 10

Setup

  • 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm (7  people)
  • Responsibilities: Setting up the dining area, the registration table and decorations

Night Prep cooks

  • 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm (4 people)
  • 7:30 pm  – 9:00 pm (4 people)
  • Responsibilities: Assembly ingredients to make all of the necessary recipes needed for the day of the pancake brunch, and for the morning prep team to finalize the creation of the baked goods. The greater majority of the prep work will be done during this time and will be followed up with the morning prep crew finalizing the baked goods before the actual event.

Sunday, March 11

Morning prep cooks

  • 7:00 am – 9:00 am (2 people)
  • 8:30 am -10:00 am (4 people)
  • Responsibilities: Finalize the preparing of the baked goods, and package for transport for the day of the pancake brunch, and work with Eduardo with the setup for the buffet

Coffee

  • 8 am – 12:00 pm (2 people)
  • 11:45 am – 2:00 pm (2 people)
  • Responsibilities: Making sure that the coffee station has all the necessary condiments, and that coffee is always present and free flowing.

Volunteer / Role Coordinator

  • 8:15 am – 3 pm (1 person)
  • Responsibilities: Check in all volunteers. Tell them where to find their leads. If certain areas are missing volunteers, work with the leads and re-assign volunteers as needed

Compost Watchers

  • 9:30am-12pm (2 people)
  • 11:45am-2pm (2 people)
  • Responsibilities: Make sure that only compost goes in the compost! Don’t leave your post.

Runner/Floater

  • 9:30am-12pm (2 people)
  • 11:45am-2pm (2 people)
  • Responsibilities: anything! Fill in as needed preparing and serving food, checking-in attendees, or whatever is needed at the moment, responsible for replenishments of items  the day of IF they run out of stock, and  to “think of the fly” when  potentially running to either Kitchen Depot or Costco.  

Line cooks

  • 9:30 am – 12:00 pm (1 people)
  • 11:45 am – 2:00 pm (1 people)
  • Responsibilities: Assist Head chef with Making food (pancakes) as needed during the pancake brunch on March 11th. The majority of prep will be done the night before.

 

Food servers

  • 9:30 am – 12:00 pm (5 people)
  • 11:45 am – 2:00 pm (5 people)
  • Responsibilities: helping to set up two buffet lines, informing people of food options and process, making sure that food is labeled properly, removing and replacing food pans in chafing dishes, serving people.

Registration/donation person

  • 9:30 am – 12:00 pm (7 people)
  • 11:45 am – 2:00 pm (7 people)
  • Responsibilities: Register people and check people off the list as needed. Welcome people and tell them about the event and the space..

 

Busser

  • 9:45 am  – 12 pm (5 people)
  • 11:45 am – 2 pm (5 people)
  • Responsibilities: Brings pitchers of water and juice to the tables,cleans up dishes. No need to deal with food that is not served at the tables.

Swag Table

  • 9:45 am – 12:00 pm (1 people)
  • 11:45 am – 2:00 pm (1 people)
  • Responsibilities: Sell CTUL merchandise

Alcohol Bar (not on the website)

  • 9:45 am – 12:00 pm (2 people)
  • 11:45 am – 2:00 pm (2 people)

Fundraising Team

  • 9:45 am – 12:00 pm (4 people)
  • 11:45 am – 2:00 pm (4 people)
  • Responsibilities: Collect donations and pledges, encourage people to donate

Cleanup

  • 1:45 pm – 4 pm (10 people)
  • Responsibilities: Make sure everything is sanitized, cleaned, and put away
