My role is to help secure financial resources and share my skills to support workers. There is power in conversations and written narratives that tell worker’s stories- fundraising is about building relationships to win equity and economic justice. Fundraising for Organizing motivates me. It moves beyond meeting immediate needs to working toward improving overall conditions for everyone. For our world to be healthy and cared for, with humans respecting each other and all that share this habitat. Current systems must end or change to this end. When I am not working, I like to be outdoors just sitting reading a book, playing my drum named Janet (tenor marching bass), riding bicycles, paddling kayaks and canoes. I like my cats and all kinds of animal friends. I’m a mom with a grown kid. I like to do art.
